The County Central Committee is the governing body of the Democratic Party in San Francisco.
That means our main jobs are registering people to vote, raising money, and mobilizing voters during elections. The party also supports grassroots activists by chartering democratic clubs. Our committee makes recommendations on electoral issues passing on our endorsements to democratic voters and elected officials. As members of the State Democratic Party, we attend state conventions and generally represent San Francisco democrats to the larger democratic family.
The committee is made up of local Democrats like me who get elected. It also includes Democratic Elected Officials. Our committee meets on a monthly basis. It's a voluntary position. County Central Committee members are elected every two years.
